VHS QUALI 2020
Since 2018 I have decided to deepen my previous knowledge at Kunst Kolleg at the VHS Freiburg and therefore take part in courses for artistic practice, which usually last two semesters each.
The qualification level or "QUALI" consists in raising awareness of the fundamental structures of the phenomenon of art and in imparting elementary technical and conceptual skills.
The program of the basic courses is deepened and expanded in the advanced level in order to make an independent approach. Appropriate framework conditions serve to achieve the learning goals: a small group size (our QUALI 2020 consists of 6 participants), a spacious, bright classroom, a variety of learning forms (individual and compact learn modules, studio days, excursions, visits to exhibitions).
I wanted to develop the knowledge gained in the courses individually and was ready to work independently over longer phases. Then I put together a portfolio, took part in regular meetings (drawing meetings, painting at themed ateliers, drawing laboratory), kept in contact with lecturers and participants, received suggestions, corrections and encouragement for my own work and took part in the regular exhibitions in the VHS Gallery. In the advanced training courses and meetings, I was also coached by my lecturers.
In the last few months, with the support of my mentor, I have designed and produced my own project, which will be exhibited at the final year exhibition in the VHS Gallery at "Schwarzes Kloster".
As an "advanced participant" of the Freiburg Kunst Kolleg, I was also able to complete this qualification level with a study character and earn their certificate diploma.
